As appealing as are the ideas, though, is this really the case? It has taken a long time for this prediction — that small is the new big — to come true. In reality, the biggest businesses by sheer size are still the most successful in the majority of cases.

True, it takes more than a few decades to bring about the kind of workplace changes Anderson is talking about, but large scale industry still seems to dominate the league tables when it comes to profitability and employee productivity. Where are these small wonders?
